My love story started when I finished college. Backpack in hand, I left Holland and toured Europe jumping from train to train. On that journey, I came across the great fields of Spain that fascinated me along with the warm character of its people.
In one of my stops, when a storm forced me to seek refuge I ended up in a small winery, where I discovered the art behind a good wine, a wisdom transmitted from parents to children and generation after generation. But it wasn’t until years later that I started to appreciate the value of choosing the right grape and their influence on the aromas, colour and flavour of the wine. I will be eternally grateful to that little family that welcomed me when I escaped the rain, and I took one step closer to finding my passion.
That’s when I met Maya, my wife, whose eyes fell on this Dutchman who made her laugh without meaning to. We met at a wine tasting at a food fair in Europe and shortly afterwards we set out together for our future in Spain with a project in mind, a suitcase full of illusions and dreams, and a very clear objective: Vidum, our company and our passion.
With Vidum we want to share an important part of Spain and take its wines all over the world, reaching the most remote markets of the planet. To do this, we have selected quality wines, created with grapes grown in limestone soils in extreme climates that imprint character.

This is how VIDUM was born, a company based in Spain specialised in the creation, promotion and distribution of wines worldwide.
Our wines have been introduced to over 50 countries in Asia, America, Europe and Africa with over 6.000.000 bottles sold last year.
Through our long experience, we have developped a deep knowledge of the international wine markets and are able to select the most adequate wines to every demand.
Our main strengths are the flexibility to adapt our offer to the specific wine demands of every market. We are specialized in entry level and medium priced wines.
Established since 1870, our wineries have a long tradition of making wines. Today, our facilities and processes are adapted to the new quality standards.
Moreover, we have introduced a quality system, with traceability procedure in order to guarantee the highest degree of quality from the grapevine to the final consumer.
